Okay, so maybe I'm a little biased, but I sure think she's sweet! I have been having so much fun with our sweet little Elyse. She is such a happy baby, and I just LOVE her smiles and laughs. It makes me melt. She has been so cute lately with sticking out her tongue all the time. She cracks me up! I don't have any pictures of her sticking out her tongue yet, but I'm sure I'll get some soon. She is constantly doing it, and it seems like she thinks she is being funny! Josie is such a good little helper with her. She will bring her toys and give her her pacifier if she is upset. Such a little mommy.
Here are some pics of our smiley baby...

Rolling Over
Elyse is now rolling over and over and over! She can not stop trying out her new talent! The second you lay her on her back, she is on her stomach! She has started sleeping this way as well.
Here she is right after her very first time rolling over...
What just happened?! Here she is right after her very first time rolling over...
Josie wanted to sit up on the counter with Elyse
Here's Josie eating an apple from our neighbor's apple tree. She was so excited she was even eating the core! And, no, she was not swimming, she is really sweaty from the heat and all her curly hair! :)

Fever
Josie and Elyse both got shots yesterday. Somehow Elyse did just fine with no fever, but Josie was absolutely miserable. She was limping around and whining like crazy. Have to admit, the limping was pretty funny, but once we realized how bad she felt, you couldn't help but feel sorry for her. So, I sat her down on the couch and let her watch some cartoons while I got dinner ready...
Thankfully, this is her today! She is feeling much better, and enjoyed opening some presents from my friend, Marci, this morning.
And, here is Elyse today, smiling and happy like usual! :)

Josie is 2!
We had a great time celebrating Josie's birthday this weekend! Grandma Moorlag came in on Wednesday night and was a big help getting everything ready for the party. We had two big gifts to put together on Thursday night (table & chairs from Grandma and Grandpa M. & kitchen from Mike & I), so Mike, Grandma and I worked on them until after Midnight! I never stay up that late!
When Josie woke up on her birthday, we surprised her with her kitchen and pots and pans. Then Mike went out and got her her favorite breakfast - donuts! No, we don't have donuts every week, just on special occasions. :) We took her out to dinner at Pizza Hut for dinner, after opening a few more presents. She got some dress up clothes from Josh, Liz and Lauryn, and wore the bracelet and necklace to dinner! After dinner, we headed to our neighborhood party so she could play with her friends.

We had her Minnie Mouse party on Saturday. Josie had a great time playing with her friends in the pool, opening presents and eating her Minnie Mouse cake made by my cousin Rachel. She made a family favorite that I have had every birthday of my life - strawberry cake with strawberry icing. Delicious! Mike was a hit at the party with the yummy burgers he made - everyone was raving about them. Good job, honey! We had a great time celebrating our sweet Josephine Corinne! I am going to put a slideshow together of the pictures from her party...I just need to figure out how!! Stay tuned.... :)

Tummy Time, Bath Time & Play Time
Tummy time!
We gave Josie and Elyse their first bath together. I think I might've jumped the gun a little bit, though. Elyse was definitely not ready for the bath seat. Not sure why I thought she was, but she did pretty well.
Yesterday, we spent some time playing inside because it has been so hot! Josie was having a good time, can you tell? :)

4th of July Weekend
So, I decided it was time to start a blog for the Indy Moorlags. :) I enjoy reading Liza and Carrie's, so I thought you all might enjoy seeing what our family is up to as well!
We had a very busy and fun weekend.
On Friday morning, I took Josie and Elyse to story time at the library. Josie hadn't been in quite awhile, so she really enjoyed it. We also checked out some library books for Josie for the first time. She has really liked having new books to read, and has already started memorizing some of them! Friday night, we went to the Lawrence 4th Fest, which has carnival rides. Josie says she had fun, but you can't tell when she is on the rides - she has such a serious look on her face! She rode the carousel three times, motorcycles, cars and fish! We didn't stay too long, because of the heat.
On Saturday, we took an hour drive to Edinburgh Outlet Mall for some bargain shopping. We ended up staying there all day! The girls did so well. Josie had fun talking to all the sales people and walking through the stores. Her favorite part was getting her first happy meal at McDonald's! She ate all of her cheeseburger, apple dippers and milk! This was the first day in her life that we made her skip her nap! She didn't sleep until the ride home at 5pm. That girls loves her naps, thankfully! She was pretty crabby that evening, but she has caught up on the sleep now.
On the 4th, we started the day with donuts, and then went to my parents house. We had a yummy lunch, and then headed over to their neighborhood pool. Josie wants nothing to do with the baby pool, she wants to be in the BIG pool! She wants to do it all by herself, so it can be a struggle to get her to let us hold her. She would stay in the pool all day if we would let her. She jumped in the pool to daddy over and over, and loved that! That evening, we were debating on whether Mike should take Josie to watch the big fireworks, but decided that Josie was too tired, and might be scared anyway. So, Mike went and bought some little firecrackers for us to do at home. Josie was a little scared at first because we started with a loud one. There would've been pictures with Josie and I doing sparklers, but brilliant me decided to step on some ash and burn my foot! Think I should've been wearing shoes! Oops!
